Book interesting facts: Was made into a movie featuring Roddy McDowall in 1943.  The first book in a triology, followed by Thunderhead (1943) and Green Grass of Wyoming (1946)



Missing dustjacket.  Boards rubbed and lightly soiled.  Spine further soiled.  Spine has crease going down the middle.  All corners bumped.  Head’s stain lightly dulled.  Fore-edge deckle lightly dust stained.  Foot moderately soiled.  Endpapers lightly soiled from dust and fingerprint smudges.  The middle gathering of the binding has a few leaves that are folded onto each other, can be seen at head.  Interior otherwise clean and unmarked.  Slightly less than tight binding, slightly cocked.
